Meet Our Experts

You won’t be surprised to hear that I love cats and own two gorgeous Siberians, Alexei and Vladimir. However, I am not a veterinarian. I deliberately choose article topics that I think interest cat owners but don’t move into the territory of trying to pretend I am a veterinarian when I am not. We also use quite a few freelance writers on this website. Many own cats but none of them are veterinarians.

In 2022 I realized that we mention asking your vet or checking with your vet in many of our articles. So I decided to find some veterinary experts to review these articles and ensure we had all the information correct. Also, I wanted to know if there were tips they could provide based on their experience with animals.

We are working our way through all the relevant articles on the website. When one of our experts has completed reviewing an article, this message will appear at its top:

NB: I am using the term veterinary experts vs veterinarians as one of the experts we work with is a veterinary student. As you will see, we provide complete background details for all of our experts for complete transparency.
